Flowers and botanicals, are my favorite thing to paint, by far. They are so delicate, yet vivacious. Organic, yet defined. I especially love the challenge of making monochromatic flowers come to life.

SPIRIT ANIMALS
Interpreting feathers through different mediums fascinates me. I am definitely NOT a hyper-realistic painter, nor an abstract one. That is why I find feathers, in particular, so fun to paint. I don’t feel the confines of being either, and I adore the way different media represents them.

To be fair, it was not until after college that cell phones were a thing, so the fact that I have any proof of my fine art narrative, is amazing!
For the love of painting
I always loved to paint. It was my release.
From my toddler days of finger painting,
to finding my love of oil painting at VCU Arts,
to learning to “love/hate” watercolor...
I love how freeing painting is. The push and pull of the paint on the paper or canvas is captivating. As long as I could remember, I loved to create. My painting journey, in particular, has evolved greatly through the years... and is a great expression of who I am as a person, and as an artist. Thank you for being along for the ride, enjoy!
